Private room (14m2) within a just renovated apartment located in the heart of lively hip Marais district.

Very central, comfortable and quiet. 10 min walking distance from Oberkampf, Bastille and Republique. 15 min walking distance from Georges Pompidou Art Center (Beaubourg).
The apartment is situated close to the Picasso Museum and the famous "Place des Vosges". It's a 20 minute walk from Notre Dame and the City Hall and 5 minute from the nicest places to have a drink and eat or hang out at night.

The apartment consists of a bedroom with a full size bed (140x190cm, accommodates two), a living room, a mezzanine room, a bathroom with hair drier and an equipped kitchen so you can cook at home. You rent the entire room but share other spaces with me.
Large grocery store on the same block and supermarket one bloc further.
High speed ADSL Internet / Wi-Fi / cable. Cordless phone (upon request) with free and unlimited calls to many destinations on landline numbers (France, all Europe, USA, Canada, China, Japan…). Free calls to US and Canadian mobile phones..

The building has a closed courtyard where you can secure your bike if needed, and if you don't have a bike, Velib' stations (bike rental) are a mere 100 yards away.

Closest subway stations are Saint Sebastien Froissart (line 8, 2 minute walking distance) and Oberkampf (line 5, 10 minute walking distance). Also many bus lines if you don’t fancy subways.
Chatelet-Les Halles is close to the studio (a 15-20 min walk) which is the biggest hub for subway/RER (express subway) lines in Paris.
From Chatelet-Les Halles, direct express line to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and Orly international airports (a 50 minutes ride) although the best way to get to the studio from the airport is taking RER B and changing in Gare du Nord to take Subway 5.

The whole neighborhood is very lively, it's considered to be one the trendiest place to live in. Plenty of designer’s stores and fashion houses around. The studio overlooks the courtyard, so it stays very quiet.

Wir waren nur drei Tage in Paris, doch die haben wir in vollen Zügen genossen. Ein sauberes Zimmer, perfekte Lage und ein aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Es hätte nicht besser sein können. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir hatten ein Appartment gebucht und als wir den Schlüssel bekamen, teilte uns der Gastgeber mit, dass er "mit uns" wohne. D.h. wir hatten zu zweit ein 140 cm breites Bett. Wenn man sich darauf setzte sank man gleich 20 cm ein. Das Bett ist maximal für eine Person geeignet. Der Schrank und die Kommode im ca. 10 qm großen Zimmer waren voll mit den Sachen des Vermieters. Unsere Wäsche mussten wir im Koffer und auf dem Boden verstauen. Nachttische waren mit Staub voll und klebrig. In den Ecken lagen dicke Staubwutzel. Blick auf den Hinterhof auf eine Schutthalde. Licht im Zimmer war sehr schwach. Der Vermieter schläft in einer Zwischendecke und sieht "von oben" herab alles. Es gibt auch keine Tür sondern nur einen Vorhang, wo man hören kann, ob er noch schläft oder nicht. Die Wohnung ist bewohnt (Kühlschrank voll, Mülleimer voll, Bad zu dritt ...) Wir haben uns in keinster Weise erholt, auch wenn der Vermieter sofort verschwand, wenn er uns sah. Wir fühlten uns beobachtet und als Eindringlinge. Dass er nur ein Zimmer vermietet, hat er nach unserer Buchung geändert. Wir zahlten 50,-- pro Person. Für diese Verhältnisse ist der Preis absolut überhöht. Ansonsten ist das Viertel empfehlenswert. Nette Lokale und günstig gelegen.

I am very happy with my stay in Alex's apartment. Alex is a nice and helpful person. The apartment is small but clean and cosy. The location in Marais could not be better! An excellent choice for your holiday in Paris!

Alex is a very friendly guy and the appartment is really nice. The Marais quarter is a very lively and interesting part of Paris, although the appartment is very quiet. You will find a supermarket very close to it and also a bakery.

Séjour court mais agréable dans ce charmant petit appart super bien situé dans un quartier jeune et dynamique ! Alex nous a dailleurs conseillé un délicieux resto : "Robert et Louise" à quelques minutes à pieds du logement. Donc idéal pour visiter Paris à pied ou en métro...

You'll gonna feel the typical French urban place where you can really relaxed and have time to rest... very peaceful and very near to Metro and Bastille... A nice place to spend, especially if your looking for a quite place.

We spent 3 days at Alex' appartment and these were great. The flat is very clean and nice and its location is central and very close to a metro station. Close to the flat there is also a bakery which makes very special croissants and other sweeties. Unfortunately, we had the opportunity to see Alex only the first day but he's very nice and helpful and he makes you feel like at your own home. I can really recommend the flat and Paris. Its a fantastic city!!!

Merçi pour ce séjour !! A recommander, Alex nous a très bien accueilli et nous avons pu partager quelques pas de tango. Le quartier est très agréable et l'accès à l'appart très facile.
